Elizabeth Galbreath Recognized for Building Bridges and Shaping the Future

Kansas City, MO — November 8, 2025 — Great leaders build a bridge for future leaders and agriculturists.  The Agriculture of America (AFA) Bridge Builder Award recognizes alumni committed to strengthening the future of food and agriculture through connection, collaboration and mentorship. Elizabeth Galbreath garnered her unwavering dedication to shaping the future of agriculture, driven by a passion for investing in the next generation and ensuring emerging talent has a meaningful seat at the table. 

Galbreath is a dynamic advocate for future talent and serves as a Professional Development Program Manager at BASF, leading initiatives to connect students and emerging professionals to meaningful careers. The Maryland native and proud Virginia Tech graduate pairs deep rural roots with a lifelong passion for service. Galbreath embodies what it means to build bridges that last and uplift the future of agriculture. 

“Bridge builders are generous with their time and resources, knowing that what they do today is a long-term investment in the future,” said Galbreath. “They believe in the value of every opportunity and recognize that even the smallest act of connection or encouragement can be life-changing.” 

Joining Galbreath as finalists were Macy Carter, a Media Planner at AdFarm, whose storytelling and brand leadership connect businesses with their audiences. As well as John Sachse, Founder of RanchFIT Coaching, where he equips farmers and ranchers with the tools to lead resilient lives. Each finalist was peer nominated and embodies the AFA mission to develop leaders who use their influence to uplift others.

Inspired by Will Allen Dromgoole’s poem “The Bridge Builder,” this award represents the powerful truth that progress is built one connection at a time.  

Through the Bridge Builder Award, AFA recognizes those who strengthen the bridges between today’s leaders and the next generation.
