Meet AFA’s 2026 Student Advisory Team: 12 Students Empowering the Future of Ag

Kansas City, MO — December 8, 2025 — It takes a poised and driven student leader to transform student experiences and support peer development. Agriculture Future of America (AFA) selected 12 college students from across the country to serve on the 2026 Student Advisory Team. They are dedicating a year to supporting their peers, creating safe environments and empowering industry growth to ensures AFA continues developing the kind of talent agriculture needs to thrive.

Members of the AFA Student Advisory Team take on real-world responsibility. They lead from the front: facilitating sessions, supporting event execution, guiding their peers and empowering an inclusive industry. Their role requires a proactive mindset, strong communication skills and a deep commitment to servant leadership.  

"These students represent the very best in food and agriculture,” says Michael Curry, AFA Program Manager, Student Leaders and Selection. “They were selected because they consistently demonstrate character, curiosity and a servant-leader mindset.”  

AFA’s Student Advisory Team represents the highest standard of student leadership within the organization. During their year of service, the team will facilitate AFA Leader Institutes, host AFA Leaders Conference and connect with our partners.
