Cultivating Your Path: What Comes After the Blue Jacket?

As a speaker of the National FFA Workshop: Cultivating Your Path: After the Blue Jacket Roundtable session, you will engage with high school FFA members through roundtable discussions on potential careers involved in the agricultural industry. We are looking for professionals in the agriculture industry that come from many different backgrounds and represent a wide spectrum of interests. As a part of this discussion, table leaders will be asked to share the path their own careers have taken, as well as what a “day in the life” of someone in their role might look like. These conversations will help students gain insight on their desired career paths and possibly expose them to careers that have not been previously considered.

Please note you will need to be registered for National FFA Convention in order to volunteer for this workshop.

March 21-21, 2027 | Vietnam and Thailand | Destination Alliance

Discover agriculture, culture and innovation across Vietnam and Thailand through Destination Alliance, a program of the AFA Alliance Alumni Network.

This immersive experience will take you from the streets of Ho Chi Minh City and the canals of the Mekong Delta to the markets, farms and temples of Thailand. Along the way, you’ll explore mushroom and worm farms, vegetable cooperatives, rice facilities, floating markets, fish farms, cacao production, shrimp farming and sustainable gardens.

You’ll also experience the culture that shapes these regions through local meals, a Thai cooking class, a Chao Phraya River dinner cruise, elephant encounters and visits to Bangkok’s iconic temples.
